and Gary Denard (left) was a HOTROC project completed by Marlin, Steve and Gary,
with motor & propellant provided by Ed Jacoby. It was flown and
recovered at LDRS in Amarillo.

It was one of the most photographed, most enjoyable, and most unusual
flights I've had to date.

The Marlin Collection contains an assortment of very interesting rockets. These include 2 stage, 3 stage, soda cans, radiator fans, the patriotic rocket, (and even a cluster of 40 G-motors with a central K-550 topped off with an additional cluster of 7 G- motors on the second stage).

Steve Baughman put up the first big Skidmark in Asa.
Area workers said that they thought the power plant (miles away) had blown
up!
You could feel the large Skidmark motor pounding your chest as the rocket roared away. |
